26th April.

Singout at the Methodist Hall, Chessington.

Concert in Aid of the Shooting Star Hospice for Children.

Thameside Chorus arrived at the Methodist Church Hall, and were delighted to find a lovely warm Dressing Room, with lots of space for rehearsing before the Concert began. Unfortunately the Quartet performance was unable to take place because one of them was not well. Two other members were feeling a little under the weather too but like true troupers (in the theatrical sense) they were able to 'face the music'.

The Chorus, wearing their new fuschia pink tops with black and silver jackets, came on stage to find a warm welcome awaiting them. Phillip, in his inimitable way, got the audience singing along and enjoying themselves, especially in the upbeat numbers. Then it was the turn of a gentleman tenor, who began his programme with a Victorian song to pull at the heartstrings.

Hot and cold drinks and sweet pastries were available in the Interval, and so it was with renewed vigour that Thameside Harmony took the stage to begin the second half. The audience was given a taste of the full repertoire, which they much enjoyed by all accounts. Most important of all, almost £900 was raised for the Hospice that afternoon. Everyone was very pleased, and thanks to all the performers who gave their services free as well. Thameside Chorus enjoy performing and giving of their very best and are very happy to sing to such an appreciative audience too. Thanks to the organisers and everyone there for contributing in their various ways to such a special fund raising event.
